Setup or change
When you set up the Q & A component, you can enter a deadline for when there will be no more questions allowed. If you set a date, you will be able to change it after the solicitation is
advertised. If you do not enter a date, the deadline for the vendor to ask questions will be set to
the deadline for the solicitation, and you will not be able to change it after the solicitation is
advertised.
Once a solicitation is advertised with the Q & A feature enabled, you can't remove it. If you change the solicitation deadline, you may also have to change the Q & A deadline.
-
With your solicitation open, click Edit for the Q & A component.
-
Click in the Deadline field to display the calendar. Select the date and time for the deadline for the vendor to ask questions. Click OK.
-
Enter any remarks you may have, such as an estimate of how long it will take to answer a question.
-
Click Save.
-
Select the solicitation in the navigation trail to return to the solicitation details page.
If you decide to add the Q & A component after the solicitation has been advertised, you will
need to issue an addendum.
If you change the deadline or remarks for the Q & A component after the solicitation is advertised, you can issue an addendum by selecting the Require Addendum check box. Otherwise, no addendum will be issued. Vendors will receive an email notification of a date change.
Notifications
Notification emails are sent to agency users when a vendor asks a question. You can opt out of receiving the emails for your agency's solicitations on the Settings tab.
You can change notifications for specific solicitations after the solicitation has been advertised.
-
Select the Settings tab or open the solicitation details of an advertised solicitation.
-
Switch the toggle option for Receive Q & A notifications?
