The Award function allows any closed solicitation with a submission or response history to be awarded from within Bid Express.
Awarding a bidder or respondent from the closed solicitation will notify all opted-in users that the award has been posted.

How to award a solicitation:
- From the Our Solicitations tab, find the closed solicitation that you are ready to award.
- Click Fetch Bids.
- Click Award.
- From the pop-up modal, select the business(es) to award the solicitation to.
- Under Publicly display awarded? select Yes or No to indicate whether the award should be shown to all users who can see the solicitation.
- If you opted to publicly display the award, you will also have the option to Publicly display bid total. Select Yes or No.
- Click Award.
A success banner will appear at the top of the Bids/Response page to confirm that you've awarded the solicitation. You will also see a new panel titled Award, which will contain the bidder(s) or respondent(s) who were awarded.
To see an awarded bid package, click on the bidder or respondent's business name from the Award panel.
Good to know!
- Anyone who submitted a bid or response, along with all of the other users in their Bid Express business, will receive an automated email alerting them of the award.
- See which businesses will receive this email by referencing the Receives Notifications column of the Plan Holder List.
How to change the awarded bidder or respondent:
- From the Bids/Responses page, find the Award panel.
- To change the award, click Edit Award.
- In the pop-up modal, select the new business(es) you want to award.
- Under Publicly display awarded? select Yes or No to indicate whether the award should be shown to all users who can see the solicitation.
- If you opted to publicly display the award, you will also have the option to Publicly display bid total. Select Yes or No.
- Click Update Awarded.

Anyone who submitted a bid or response, along with all of the other users in their Bid Express business, will receive an automated email alerting them of the updated award.
How to remove an award:
- From the Bids/Responses page, find the Award panel.
- Click Edit Award.
- In the pop-up modal, clear the checkbox next to the business you had awarded.
- Under Publicly display awarded? select Yes or No to indicate whether the award should be shown to all users who can see the solicitation.
- If you opted to publicly display the award, you will also have the option to Publicly display bid total. Select Yes or No.
- Click Update Awarded.
A success banner will appear at the top of the Bids/Response page to confirm that the award has been updated.
Anyone who submitted a bid or response, along with all of the other users in their Bid Express business, will receive an automated email alerting them of the updated award.
You can award a new respondent or bidder by returning to the Award panel and clicking Edit Award, then selecting the business you want to award.
If you opted to publicly display the award in the solicitation's history, bidders and respondents can see the award information by clicking into the closed solicitation from a solicitation search, your public home page, or from their Bids tab.
The award information will appear in an Award panel following the solicitation's General Info panel.
