Your Agency Home Page is a public, shareable resource that you can use to provide vendors with a quick insight into your agency's information, solicitations, activity, and resources. You can link to your home page in things like email signatures, existing agency websites, or any other way you communicate with your vendor community.
By default, your home page will display your company name, contact information, and any upcoming or closed solicitations your agency has posted in the service. To customize your home page, you can also add:
- Agency logo | Logos help visitors quickly identify your agency
- Cover photo | Cover photos are a large, banner-type photo spanning the top of your page
- Description | An informative description gives vendors an overview of who your agency is and what you do
- Standard documents | Your standard documents list gives vendors a single place to easily find any standard bid forms or other files they need to have
To help you create a more informative and engaging home page, we've provided these instructions and best practices. Expand the following sections to learn more.
Good to know
- You must have a Manager role in Infotech Express® (ITE) to manage content on your agency's home page. To check your ITE role, expand the user menu and select Account settings. In the business information panel, your ITE role will be displayed next to your name.
Uploading an agency logo helps visitors quickly recognize your agency. Unlike most of the edits you'll make to your home page, your logo has to be updated from your top-level business account in your Infotech Express settings. The Bid Express service will pull in your logo and automatically update your home page.
Good to know
- Logo images must be sized as a true square (for example: 4x4 inches; 600x600 pixels)
To add or update your agency logo:
- Expand the user menu by clicking on your initials in the navigation header.
- Click Account settings to go to the Infotech Express My Account page.
- From the business information panel of the My Account page, click on your existing logo or the default logo (displayed as a suitcase icon) to upload a new image. Your computer's file browser window will be launched.
- Select the image you want to upload, then click Open.
- Your new logo image will appear next to your business name.
Add a cover photo to your page to let visitors know immediately that they are in the right place. Click Update cover to upload a high-resolution rectangular cover photo.
Suggested dimensions
- JPG, JPEG, PNG, or GIF format
- Less than 1170 x 350 pixels
- Less than 10 MB
To update your cover photo:
- From your agency home page, click Update cover. Your computer's file browser will be launched.
- Select the photo you want to upload. Click Open.
- Your new cover photo will be displayed.
Good to know
- To make sure your cover photo image is clear, you need a high resolution photo.
- If your image doesn't completely fill the green space, you can try cropping the image at the top and bottom to make it a thinner rectangle, then upload it again.
Your home page's Description section is where you can add details about your agency outside of just contact information. It's a chance to give vendors an idea of who you are and what you do.
Best practices
Here are a few ideas of things to include in your description:
- Your agency's mission statement
- The type of work that you do
- The areas in which you operate
- Services you provide
- History of your agency
To update your description:
- From your agency home page, click Add Description.
- Note: if you already have a description in place, this button will say Update Description.
- In the text field, enter your agency description.
- When you're finished, click Add/Update Description.
Good to know
- The address and phone number displayed on your home page are drawn from the information provided on your Infotech Express account.
- To update your contact information:
- Expand the user menu (your initials in the navigation header) and select Account settings.
- Next to your name, click Edit.
- Enter the new information into the relevant address or phone number field(s).
- When you're finished, click Update to save.
- Your public home page will automatically update with the new information.
The Standard Documents list is a great place to host all of the files and documents that vendors need to download for repeated use or for many of your solicitations.
Best practices
Here are a few ideas of what you might want to upload to your standard documents list:
- Documents containing static (unchanging) guidelines and requirements for bidding with your agency
- Copies of official documents, like contract examples
- Information about where your public bid openings or pre-bidding meetings are held
To upload standard documents:
- From your agency home page, click Add Document. Your computer's file browser will be launched.
- Select the file you want to upload. Click Open.
- By default, the document will have the same name as the file on your computer. If you want to update this name or add a description of the document, click on the Edit (pencil) icon.
- Enter a new name and/or description in the appropriate field(s).
- When you're finished, click Save.
Note: All standard documents and solicitation history require users to log in or register for a free account in order to download or view.
All solicitations you currently have advertised are listed in the Upcoming Solicitations section of your home page. Agency users and interested vendors can use these links to quickly find a solicitation.
Recently closed solicitations are displayed in the Closed Solicitations panel of your home page. This section provides a record of historic solicitations for your agency.
The Bid Express service automatically displays both your upcoming and closed solicitations; you don't have to do anything in these sections.
